Description
BSS Grade Castor Oil from CanCastor is a high-purity refined castor oil manufactured to British Standard Specifications (BSS) / First Special Grade (FSG), offering consistent quality, low impurities, and excellent versatility for pharma-adjacent, cosmetic, and industrial applications.
CanCastor’s BSS Grade Castor Oil is produced by refining commercial castor oil through degumming, neutralization, bleaching, and filtration to achieve low colour, low moisture, and controlled free fatty acids. The result is a pale yellow, bright, viscous liquid free from suspended matter.
Available at CanCastor.com, this grade serves as a preferred starting material for castor derivatives and as a reliable functional oil for lubricants, personal care, and textiles due to its high purity (approx. 85% ricinoleic acid).
